Youth Tennis Lessons
Same courts, same great instruction! Our program consists of 2 age divisions of players including youth, teen, and adult. Take lessons at your own convenience. Tennis lessons are scheduled at the times listed below. Upon registration you will be issued a Tennis Lesson punch card for each paid session good for 8 lessons. Choose the days you wish to attend; your card will be punched at each lesson. If you complete your 8 lessons before the session is over, you may purchase an additional 4 punch card. This 4 punch card is only available as a supplement to the 8 punch card.

Children's Garden
This garden in the Northeast corner of the Park has been developing for three years. Each Saturday morning at 9:30 – 11:00am, starting April 1, and children of all ages are invited to come. There are games, planting, fun projects, weeding, harvesting activities. No pre-registration is required; it is accomplished at the first visit. Registration is FREE. Small children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.This is a great opportunity for children to develop a sense of caring for the earth and finding ways to grow food and decorative plants for their own home.

Bushwood Jr. Golf Clinics (ACH)
The Bushwood Jr. Golf Clinic is designed to teach students the basic fundamentals of the golf swing, rules and etiquette. The clinic will be one hour twice a week for 2 weeks. The first 45 minutes will be spent on the golf swing followed by a contest and the last 15 minutes will be used to talk about the rules and etiquette of the game. Each day everyone will leave with written material reviewing the day’s lesson. Each class will have a 7 to 1 ratio of students to instructor. Space is limited so sign up now!

Guitar Lessons (CC)
Do you want to be a real guitar hero? Regardless of age or previous musical background you can either learn to play the guitar or build on existing skills. Private and group instruction will be offered. Students will learn through the guitar tablature system as well as through ear training. No ability to read musical notation is required. All styles and techniques will be explored. Students’ personal musical tastes will also guide the course of learning, ensuring a fun, inspiring and creative musical journey. Sign up for a time slot that will include 3 lessons every Monday or Tuesday.

Singing Class (CC)
Do you want to be a real American idol? This group instruction will help students learn through ear training and other styles. No ability to read musical notation is required. All styles and techniques will be explored, specializing in Pop, R&B and Rock. Students’ personal musical tastes will also guide the course of learning, ensuring a fun, inspiring and creative musical journey, so bring your favorite cd or ipod. The class will learn everyone’s favorite song.

Youth Tae Kwon Do (ACH)
White Wolf Academy of Martial Arts teaches Tae Kwon Do with influences from other arts (i.e. yoga) to strengthen the Body, Mind, and Spirit. Tae Kwon Do is great for increasing focus and discipline and lowering stress at school or work to leave you stronger, more coordinated and flexible for a healthier lifestyle. Tae Kwon Do will increase your self confidence and self esteem making you more confident and successful. Self Defense is an important aspect of Tae Kwon Do. You will be taught to increase your awareness and ability to confront any situation with calm and clear strength and fortitude. With White Wolf Academy of Martial Arts, classes become a community, supporting each other’s struggles and successes. 8 classes per session!

Chicago White Sox Little Sluggers Camp (ACH)
This beginner program is open to boys and girls ages 5 & 6. The purpose of the Little Sluggers program is to introduce this age group to the game of baseball. In addition to focusing on the basics of the game, players will also learn practice leads to improvement and the best way to have more fun playing baseball. Our student-to-instructor ratio of 10:1 or less assures every player of getting the attention they deserve.

White Sox Training Center Camp (ACH)
More than 50,000 youth baseball players have attended one of our Training Centers to focus on essential individual aspects of baseball including: throwing, hitting, bunting, fielding, pitching and base-running. Throughout the week fundamentals will be reinforced by using fun skill games. On the final day all players will get the opportunity to judge their improvement by playing a game. Student to instructor ratio will be 10:1 or less.

Underground Revolution Skateboarding Competition (ACH)
Come out to Smirz Park and show us what you’ve got! Underground Revolution and Berwyn Park District are working together to find out who are the best skaters in Berwyn. There will be music, judges, and prizes for the winners of each age group. Register 30 minutes before the competition starts.

The Magic of Gary Cantor (ACH)
Abracadabra! Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn fascinating tricks from a professional magician! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since new tricks are always added each session!
