The Berwyn Park District is always looking for help with their Special Events. Applications may be turned in to either Freedom Park, at 3701 S. Scoville, or Proksa Park, at 3001 S. Wisconsin. If it is easier, you can also email applications to hfulara@berwynparks.org.

The Berwyn Park District will be serving up its eighth annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser at the Liberty Cultural Center. Come experience the fabulous cuisine of special guest chefs, Berwyn Park District Commissioner Frank Amaro and Mario Manfredini, and stay for the after dinner entertainment. Cash bar, auctions and raffles throughout the evening.

All proceeds go towards the Berwyn Park District Scholarship Fund: Ensuring access to community programs for residents

8th Annual South Berwyn School District 100 Wellness Fair

The Berwyn Park District and the South Berwyn School District 100 Wellness Committee present the 8th Annual Health and Wellness Fair. Walk through the Wellness Fair and gain information for children and family members with a variety of resources and information on health, wellness and safety topics. The event will entail exhibitor booths, free screenings and a variety of demonstrations throughout the evening.

Help us beautify South Berwyn! Cleaning up around every school & park, preparing Community Garden at heritage Middle School for this season’s planting and making a difference in the community by working together. All volunteers need to meet in the Heritage Middle School Multi-Purpose Room, 6850 W. 31st Street at 9:00am. A special lunch will take place at Heritage Middle School after the clean up, as thank you to the volunteers.

Come join us for a special screening of Latino American’s New Latinos while Latino immigrants have been mostly Mexican, the U.S. saw an influx of Cubans, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans after World War II. Plan to have an enjoyable evening in the park. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

A contest will be conducted to design the 1st Annual Noche Latina t-shirt.
